Central maine community college, Auburn

Located on a 135-acre campus bordering Lake Auburn, CMCC is located just two miles from the center of Auburn. Lewiston-Auburn is Maine’s second largest urban center, Our campus facilities include four main buildings housing academic, lab, technical, and student support spaces; three residence halls; Kirk gymnasium and fitness center; and the Culinary Arts Center. CMCC serves approximately 3,000 students with more than 300 students graduating annually with an associate’s degree, certificate, or diploma.

Eastern Maine Community College, Bangor

Established in 1966, EMCC’s 72-acre campus is located in the heart of Bangor. EMCC offers 30+ one- and two-year program options, as well as short term and specialized training and retraining courses for business, industry, and community. EMCC prepares technicians and skilled workers for careers in mechanical, engineering, and construction industries; allied health professions; and business occupations.

Kennebec Valley Community College, Fairfield

Founded in 1970, KVCC is located on a 70-acre campus in Fairfield with a 600-acre second campus in Hinckley. KVCC serves approximately 2,500 full and part-time students. KVCC offers online, part-time, night and off-campus education opportunities.

Northern Maine community college, Presque Isle

Established in 1961, NMCC offers 37 degree and certificate programs designed to enable you to enter the work force with technically-current skills. NMCC is located in Presque Isle, the largest city in Aroostook County with a population of 10,000. Associate degrees are offered in Arts & Sciences, Business Technology, Career Studies, EMS, Nursing & Allied Health, and Trade & Technical. NMCC impacts over 2,000 students annually through various programs.

Southern Maine community college, South portland

SMCC is Maine’s largest, oldest and most diverse community college with nearly 6,000 students, over 40 degree programs, campuses in South Portland and Brunswick, and 7 satellite locations. Students can earn an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Applied Science, Certificate. The college accepts applications throughout the year.

SMCC offers college credit for military service and on-site counseling services. The SMCC Veterans Club was established to provide support and a forum for those interested in veterans’ issues. Washington county community college, calais

Founded in 1969, WCCC enrolls approximately 450 students in its one-year certificate and two-year degree programs. Located in Calais, the 400-acre campus sits on a hillside overlooking the beautiful St. Croix River. The college’s two residence halls provide apartment-style housing for about 145 students each year. Students can take advantage of snowmobiling trails, Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge, and proximity to New Brunswick, Canada.

York county community college, wells

Established in 1994, YCCC serves approximately 1,600 students, with 74% attending full-time. YCCC is the home of the only Baking and Pastry Associate Degree in Maine. Located on the southern coast of Maine, Wells offers seven miles of beaches and the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge.

YCCC welcomes veterans for both Certificate and Degree programs as well as some of their Continuing Education programs (non-credit programs). Information about admissions and financial aid for veterans can be found here.
