Volunteer

The mission of the Maine Student-Veterans Alliance (MSVA) is to provide opportunities for academic growth and professional development to current and prior Service Members. We believe that all student-veterans can excel in higher education, enhance their valuable skills, and secure meaningful employment. If you are interested filling the open positions on our Advisory Council, please send an email to stephen.white7777@gmail.com indicating your qualifications and what you intend to bring to the upstart organization.

  • We would appreciate at least a 12-month commitment.

  • These positions are unpaid.

  • We are an established 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 organization.


Maine Student-Veterans Alliance (MSVA) Open Positions:

  • The Secretary must plan to attend all meetings of the Advisory Council, the Executive Committee, all meetings of members, and, assisted by a staff member, will act as a clerk thereof. The Secretary’s duties shall consist of:

    • Recording all votes and minutes of all proceedings in a log to be kept for that purpose. He/She/They, in collaboration with the Executive Director(s), shall make the arrangements for all meetings of the Advisory Council and Board of Directors.

    • Sending notices of all meetings to the members of the Advisory Council and shall take reservations for the meetings.

    • Preparing most official correspondence from the Advisory Council as may be prescribed by the Members of the Board or members of the Advisory Council.
